This week we had to rearrange some furniture in my son's room, which of course, meant rearranging everything (kind of like working a Rubik's cube)...
To fit in a new desk we took out a bookshelf, forcing the question -now what do we do with the books?
I decided it was time to ruthlessly clean out a cupboard where I had been storing stacks of clothes-I-haven't-worn-in-years-but-are-still-in-perfectly-good-condition and make room for the books.
The clothes will find their way to new cupboards via Salvation Army, and E and I are both happy with the way the books look in their new space.
Combined with a plethora of colored ribbons that also needed to find a place, I think the finished bookshelf is fun, colorful and accessible.
Sometimes, it takes looking at something with new eyes (perhaps born of necessity) to see the possibilities.
Happy weekend!
