Shop: Gift Shop Chic

Is it just me, or does browsing in a museum gift shops make you feel smarter and more sophisticated?

This past weekend we toured Los Angeles' Walt Disney Concert Hall (designed by starchitect Frank Gehry and home to the L.A. Philharmonic) and stopped by the gift shop. It did not disappoint -and reminded me of the wonderful merchandise these curated stores represent. Special & stylish.

The curvy, corrugated cardboard chair is designed by Frank Gerhy and echos the curves and originality of the concert hall itself. Swoon-worthy.

Alexander Calder mobile.

The armchair below is made from wine corks!

The natural wood reflects the warm-toned, wooden elements used throughout the Music Center. This transistor radio is also a nifty mini-safe.

 Got a minute?

These vases are beautiful even without flowers!
 Classy bobbleheads....

Phillippe Starck award winning design for the home (the tri-pod space ship looking sculpture is for squeezing citrus with style! Clever wine openers = happy hour!

Don't miss the wastebasket -too beautiful to use?

And before I forget! Happy Valentine's Day! Here's to love and all things beautiful. xo
